and the Mournful Effects among the Bereaved Students
Marziyeh Sharifi* / Seyyed Ahamd Ahamdi**, Maryam Al-sadat Fatehizadeh***
Abstract
The main aim of the present paper is to study the relationship between
the religious treatment and negative and positive mournful effects among
the bereaved students. Ninety bereaved students from Isfahan who were
selected through available sampling completed Hogan's Grief Reaction
Checklist and an Iranian religious treatment scale. The results show
that there are significant relationships between the negative and
positive mournful effects and the different dimensions of religious
treatment, and the component of religious acts can explain %18.2 of the
variance of negative effects and %63 of variance of positive effects.
Furthermore, students with normal bereavement, compared to those with
abnormal bereavement have higher mean scores in religious acts,
religious evaluation based on good will, strategies of active and
passive religious treatment and lower mean scores concerning the
negative opinion about God. These results can have proper implications
in determining the integrative religious-psychological strategies in
counseling and in treating the bereavement.
Key words: religious treatment, the mournful effects, bereaved students.

of Components of Patience in Students' Aggressive Behavior
Shayesteh Shokoofeh Fard* / Farhad Khormaii**
Abstract
The present paper attempts to study the predictive role of the
components of patience in students' aggressive bahavior. To this end,
300 students of Shiraz University were randomly selected as a sample and
cluster sampling is used in the study. AQ aggressiveness scale and a
questionnaire on patience components were used to gather data. These
data were analyzed by correlation coefficients and multiple regression
analysis. The results show that there is a negative and significant
relationship between the components of patience and aggressive behavior
at the level of p=0.0, and the increase in patience accounts of the
decrease in aggressive behavior. There is a significant relationship
between each of the components of patience and aggressiveness.
Key words: the components of patience, aggressiveness.

Zahra Khaksari* / Zohrah Khosravi**
Abstract
The present paper seeks to study the relationship of the negative and
positive opinion about God with self-esteem and mental health. 300
students in different fields of study were selected and simple random
sampling was used in this research. They completed Coopersmith's
self-esteem inventory and a questionnaire on mental health(G.H.Q.28).
The data were analyzed by such statistical indicators like
"correlation", "multi-variable variance", and "step by step regression".
The results show that there is a positive correlation between the
positive opinion about God, mental health and self-esteem. Furthermore,
the results of "step by step regression" test showed that the first
determining factor in predicting mental health is self-esteem and the
second is the negative opinion about God.

Ali Isazadegan* / Hamzeh Salmanpoor** / Abulfazl Qasimzadeh Alishahi***
Abstract
The aim of the present paper is exploring the relationship between
personal characteristics and death obsession in the light of the
intermediary role of religious orientation. To this end, 484 people(246
female and 238 male) were selected and a random stratified sampling was
used in the research. Within a group a death obsession Scale (DOS),
religious orientation questionnaire and Neo five-factor questionnaire
personality were completed. The reliability and validity of these
questionnaires have been ensured. The results of applying Pearson
coefficient show that the constituents of religious orientation
(internal and external), personal characteristics, (neurosis,
adjustment, openness to experiment, extroversion, and accountability)
and death obsession (death rumination, death dominance, repeated and
death) thoughts about are two-by-two correlated (p<0.01). after
conducting the Structural Equational Modeling for the test, the
relationship between personal characteristics and death obsession was
known by means of the intermediary variable of religious orientation.
The proposed model enjoys good features and death obsession was
predicted and explained by the testable dimension of personality and
religious orientation. (GFI=0.91) and (RSMEA=0.06)
Key words: personal characteristics, religious orientation, death obsession, causal model.
